Winter Time Skin Care Routine

Recently in the last month or so I have started re-using these two products on my face after not using them for 2 years. “2 years?!?!” you say? Yes, 2 years. I have nothing amongst these products, at the time when I first started using them I only just started to get my pimples because eh umm puberty… and having really bad out of control skin that was oily one day dry the next then a mixture of the two another day the products just my skin worse.
Now that I’m out of that stage of teenage life my skin is much calmer now and I only get the odd pimple here and there.
Today I will be sharing with you my daily skin care routine for the colder months.

1.    1.    At night time when I’m showering I grab a face washer and put it under the hot water and then wipe it over my face to open up my pores some more.
2.     2.   After I have done that I apply the Clean and Clear Blackhead Removal Scrub onto my fingertips, enough the size of a 20 cent piece and rub that all over my face. Usually I’m washing my hair at the same time as this because that’s how I time how long to keep the product on my face. Once it’s been on for two – three minutes grab a body scrub brush or exfoliation cloth and scrub the product on your face. Once that is done, I take the face washer and use that to wipe off any excess product on my face.
3.     3.   Next I apply the St. Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Facial Scrub all over my face and just repeat step 2 as described but obviously with this product.

As I stated earlier I do this in the shower because I find working with the steam of the shower and the temperature of the water works best as opposed to washing your face over the sink.

4.    4.   Once I’ve woken up in the morning I just wash my face with a face washer and some cold water before applying my make up for the day.

That completes my daily skin care routine, I do actually do this daily, 7 times a week. Also, when I come home from school or being out at the shops I will go wash my face, just with water, that’s only if I’m not wearing make up on that day.
I find this works out really well, these products I highly recommend to everyone. I work in a place that’s full of oily and dirt so Clean and Clear Black Head Removal and St. Ivies Apricot Facial Scrub work exceptionally well in cleaning out my face and keeping me for getting pimples. I found I only get the occasional pimple every now and again because of stress and not because my skin in “bad”.
I hope some of you try out this routine, even if it’s not with the products I use and left me know in the comments, Twitter, or on Instagram if you can notice a difference in your skin.

  1. Loved this post! I recently to give both of the scrubs a go, along with another face wash and some prescribed acne gel, and my skin is so much softer, brighter AND clearer! I really love it!
