OBSESSIONS

I cannot even begin to explain how obsessed I am with all these things!! I don't even know how it happened :')

I'm not too sure where to start with this because theirs so many random things I'm obsessed with, it's all going to be muddled up and in an order that makes no sense what so ever, so I apologise in advance.

Drumming: I've always had a thing for the back beats of songs, I try really hard to listen to the guitar and bass parts but all I can hear is the drums. When I listen to music I just stand or sit their hitting myself (not violently) or my feet will be drumming along. When I'm at school it gets really bad, I get told off so many times. I just can't not drum along to songs, do you understand how amazing it is!?!

Gigs: I've been to so many gigs in the last 2 months its absolutely crazy! I don't know what it is about them, just seeing the people you spend so much time listening to, and seeing them put so much more energy into their songs right in front of your eyes it's just.. UGH!!

Music: After being to so many gigs I've discovered so many new bands, if you don't know who Move On, Be Strong (MOBS), With Confidence (With Con), or Mindless Excess are I suggest you check them out... NOW!
Also, 5SOS have finally released their first album! Waiting years for this was most definitely worth it! I couldn't be any more proud of these 4 poo heads! I finally have a recorded version of Green Light, you have no idea how worried I was that this was being recorded because it's my all time favourite song of theirs, I loved the live version so much, they did a really good job with it though, it still sounds like the live version (minus the screams).
If haven't bought the album yet, why not? You're missing out big time!

Band Tees: Honestly I've bought so many band shirts in the past few weeks I've forgot what I've ordered! I think I still have 2 coming in the mail, I'm not too sure. I might do a blog post showing you all my collection so far.

Polaroid Cameras: Nicola let me borrow her polaroid camera at the FEH gig we went to (best gig I've ever been to in my life!) and I feel in love with it so I bought a black one last week... I may or may not have went through 30 lots of polaroid photo paper within 2 days.

Shoes: Some of you may know that I'm a tall person, lately I've become more obsessed with wearing heels, especially black heeled boots. People give me the look of "aren't you tall enough already?" but I honestly couldn't care less, wearing them seems to make me more confident and I absolutely love them!

Makeup: I used to hate wearing makeup, but since I've bought all the correct brands and the products I need that will co-operate with my skin I've found myself wearing it 5-6 days a week. Makeup is great, there's so many different looks you can create!!

iPhone Cases: since my favourite bands don't do iPhone cases, I've been buying so many plain ones and making them myself.. I have about 10 so far and still have around 20 left to make. Oops?

Penguins: My penguin obsession has gotten worse, I have so many penguin things now, I don't even understand how it happened or where this even came from, why penguins?!

This next one you'll want to be sitting down for, its big!

I'M OBSESSED WITH KEEPING MY ROOM CLEAN!! This is something I used to hate but cleaning my room and making sure you can see everything I want people to see is so nice! And vacuuming, do you guys understand how fun vacuuming is?

This post was much more bigger than this, I had to cut so many things out. I hope you all liked it, there will be another blog being posted later today.

Eleanor

Alone and confused, wondering,
will my heart ever mend?
One quick slice, that's all it takes
for the immense pain to forever end.

But with the fear of dying,
and always crying.
Suicide and self harm,
a sharp blade lay in my palm.

No matter what I do,
it's never enough.
The voices in my head,
will never give up.

It's sad to think that
people as young as me
feel this way and no longer
want to stay.

Scars on our wrists,
stomach, hips, and thighs.
We'll do anything
to not go outside.

Lies upon lies,
fake laughs and smiles that hide,
the brutal pain,
held within our eyes.

Starvation, no food -
for we don't feel beautiful.
Unless our stomachs are empty
and not full.

Aching muscles, tired eyes,
head always spinning,
and skin turning pale,
like the white Irish snow.

You almost collapse every time you stand,
breathe in,
breathe out,
your fate lays in your hands.

Stand up tall,
hold your head high.
Soon you'll pull through,
trust me -
You're stronger than what
you thought you knew.

Don't give up now,
it's no where near the end.
The future you I see,
is the one you've always wanted to be.

You are loved by many,
and are inspiring.
Girls look up to you,
and even a few guys too.

You might not of had
the best childhood,
or have the best memories
from your teenage years.

I know it's scary,
but you're slowly pulling through.
You are amazing,
look at the lights shine bright on you.

This poem means a lot to me, it's something I hold very close to my heart as I wrote this not too long after one of the toughest years of my life, 'Eleanor' (the name of my poem) really helped me stay positive and pull me through everything that happened.
Eleanor was written yearly last year as a class assignment and didn't expect it to have the impact it had on myself and my teacher. I hope you guys liked tonight's post, I know it's extremely different to what I usually post but this poem is a big part of who I am, and since you guys are my readers and I love you dearly, I want you to get to know me little more than what you already do.

You can interpret this however you wish.
If there's one thing I would like you to take away from this, it's that; no matter how alone you feel you will never be alone, you always have someone to talk to. Whether it be someone in person, someone on the phone, or even the internet. You are loved, your heart just hurts too much to feel it yet.

If you ever want someone, I am here 24/7, on Twitter or Instagram (@ImogenL05 for both).

Melbourne Birthday Shopping Haul

Yesterday my mum and I headed down to Melbourne to celebrate my birthday, after we had breakfast with a few of my friends we went and did a bit of shopping and well Melbourne... Your sales are on  point at the moment!.

(Sorry if the photos are tacky, my camera died mid shoot so I had to use my iPhone -.-)

First up, we headed to Topshop on Chapel St and I don't think I've ever made this many purchases at Topshop all in the one go!

Light Blue Topshop Boutique Tee
(I lost the tag, sorry)
Was $60
Bought for $30

Topshop Petite Linen Mix Stripe Tee
Was $44
Bought for $22

Topshop Up All Night Tee
Was $32
Bought for $16

I've been waiting since before Christmas last year for this tee to come on sale, and I will admit I did fall in love with it because its reminds me of my favourite 5 boys.

Also at Topshop I bought this blush and eye duo in the shade 'Bitten Cherry'

Was $24
Then $12
Bought for $7

It's come up for brown on camera, I will try and get a better photo of it for you all to see it's lovely dewy purple colour.

Nicola and I found these whilst checking out all the little bins Topshop have in the cue, they're just so cute!
Topshop Exclusive Halloween Character Nail Wrap
Was $12
Then $6
Bought for $3

I also bought these stockings, which have a knitted plait texture/pattern running up and down the legs. Again the photos haven't shown up very well so when I wear them I will add a photo in.

Was $24
Then $12
Bought for $3

Next we went to a little boutique on Chapel St that my friend's Lucii and Stella shop at that they thought I might like and boy were they right!!

I had been eyeing these two dresses off on two different Australian online boutiques for a couple of events I have coming up and each of them were between $70-$80 online so when I saw them in store it was just meant to be.

Brand: Blossom
Bought in store for $49.95

This next dress was really difficult to get a picture of, but it will be on my Instagram in a few weeks when I wear it to my brothers 18th.

Brand: Luvalot
Bought in store for: $55

Keeping in theme which is clothing, these are my purchases from the biggest discounted Cotton On Melbourne has and I am about to show you all my favourite item for the day!

This dress I was going to buy when Astrid (my best friend.. I'm sure I've mentioned her before) and I went to Melbourne together to do some shopping and I was just too upset that I'd bought so much already that I didn't buy it. I regretted it so much when we got back home.

Astrid if you're reading this, are you proud of me? I'm proud of me *blushes*

Jodi Acid Wash Denim Skater Dress
Was $39.95
Then $15
Bought for $10

Ella Quitted Pu Skirt
Was: $29.95
Bought for $10

Close up of the quitting

Now onto my favourite favourite FAVOURITE purchase...

Was $24.95
Bought for $10

I can't wait to put little holes in this dress, it's gonna go so well with thin black stockings with rips in them, the black Rubi Shoes, shoes I also bought (first pair under this next item) and a black leather jacket or a dark oversized denim jacket.

This skirt, I was "umming" and "ahhing" about and went into Dotti 3 times before buying it. It's black and leather so I figured I couldn't just leave it there... Could I? (no, no I couldn't, I tried)
Was $49.95
Then $29.95
Bought for 19.95

Moving away from clothing now, I only purchases 2 pairs of shoes yesterday. These I love dearly and when I showed my mum in store she just scrunched her nose, all I could do was laugh.

Was around $50 (the tag wasn't on my shoes when bought)
Then $20
Bought for $15

Amber Fisherman Boot
Was $49.95
Bought for $5

This next part is my favourite part, makeup.
There's this massive discounted beauty store in Melbourne I always make sure I stop by and this time I ended up spending around 80 dollars there but I bought so much!

I know these aren't make up, not even in the slightest. I was, again, going to buy these candles from Topshop online last year and they were about $20 each and I was most definitely not going to be paying that much for such a small candle!.
Was $9.95 (in this store) each
Bought for $6 each

These brushes didn't have original pricing on the stickers but they were written in store I just didn't pay too much attention, sorry.

I also bought the powder I use to set my makeup because is it was just too cheap to not buy another one. Maybelline FitMe Powder. Sorry there's no photo, it's the same on as in my Basic Everyday Makeup blog post.

Last but not least for my haul.

I made my very first MAC purchase! I was hesitant to buy MAC because of breakouts but after using Nicola's one a few weeks ago and wearing it to a gig, it passed the test.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 Foundation - $49.00
MAC Foundation Pump - $8.00

That concludes todays post, I hope you all enjoy it.
