Badlands by Halsey Debut Album - Emoji First Impression

Welcome to the badlands...

Today my girlfriend Halsey (if you follow me on social media and are up to date with my YouTube videos you will know all about the girlfriend situation) released her debut album Badlands!

I can't even begin to describe how proud and how many warm and fuzzy's I have for Halsey - this album is honestly incredible and I can't remember the last debut album I heard that absolutely smashed it first go. 

As soon as I woke up this morning I went straight down the street (don't worry I won't make this story into a novel) to by local JB HiFi.. When I got to the Music section the lady was stacking Halsey's album and was like "Do you need some help?". Of course I played it cool and told her I was fine, you know, it's not like I ran here to just get this album or anything.

Anyway, when she finished stacking I was looking for the deluxe version and couldn't find it ANYWHERE! I asked the lady if they had it and she said they only had ordered two copies in and had hidden them.. Lol, now there's one and it is mine 😁

So for today's blog post, I thought I would do a first impressions of the tracks I've yet to hear but tell them to you, emoji style. HERE GOES!

The day or so before Badlands was released, my friend Aly and I decided that I would text her my emoji responses to each song because she would be in school, and me obviously not and also because I actually have no idea why... I guess it was just fun?

Castle

😳😁(mixed together)😏😁😎😵 I'm so dead!!

This is the first song on the album and I was absolutely dead and overwhelmed within the first 30 econds of listing. For an album I've been ready for, for ages now.. I was like, If this was what I was hearing at the start of the album gods knows what's to come! 

Roman Holiday - there's honestly no emoji cause I'm just smiling whilst bobbing around doing the hand/arm thing you do at gigs - This is my feel good song.

Colors 😱😱😱😱 I have warm fuzzy's - There's a note Hals hits out of the blue and it makes you weak at the knees!

Colors pt.2 - 🚬🔮

These emojis, listening back now I can't quite remember why I picked them.. Although the I think it's because I got The 1975 vibes mixed with a bit of magic?¿  

Strange Love - 😵😱😏

the emojis and text says it all.. hehe

Coming Down - 😕😌😶

I think it's going to take me a few tries to be at piece with this song, don't let the emojis confuse you though! I do like, it's a song that I think if you needed some space you just go and lay on your bedroom floor with your legs up on the bed, chill and just listen.. shed a few tears maybe

Haunting - Ellie Goulding vibes, 🔮😊😁, one of my faves 

I absolutely love this song! The fact that it reminds me of Ellie Goulding.. like that's both of my two favourite female artist in one song(almost.. you get what I mean).

Gasoline - 🎎✨😳💅🏼👌🏼💪🏼

Okay, the start and throughout the whole song reminds me of Japan and other Asian countries. The beat of the sting instrument is so chill and magical and then BAM, Halsey smashes into the chorus and you're just there like "yes girlfriend!" and feel like you should be kicking some ass whilst it's playing.

Control - 🎻🏃🏻😌❄️(<- it's chill)👌🏼

Not too sure why I chose the violin and not the piano emoji but nevertheless. Control is a song I just want to run to, through the woods, on a treadmill, in my head.. It's so chill and just makes me just want to be doing some kind of physical activity.

Young God - 😗🔦💕👫👬👭😱😍

I Walk The Line - starts kinda like Ghost, 😎😌😴🎻🎷

The last song on Badlands and it concludes the album so well.

The beginning instrumental is similar to Ghost which I find really cool. No, the sleepy emoji isn't implying that the song is boring - it's just another song I want to lay down on my bedroom floor and listen to.

One Brand Makeup Haul : Australis

Everyday Makeup Products : Why I Use Them

Hey guys, so today's post I wish to discuss with you the products I wear on my face on the daily and see if you guys have any suggestions of products I could use instead or just have ones that I should try out. Enjoy :)

 

I've only recently just started using this primer, beforehand I was using the Benefit porefessional but I am 100% loving this better! My foundation does slide off my face (generally my chin and forehead) which is fantastic! I only have it in the travel size as I didn't know if I would like it or how my skin would react but I will definitely be buying the full size when this runs out :)

After trying foundation after foundation, Nars Sheer Glow has become my holey grail foundation.
I don't find it too cakey and it leaves a nice airbrushed flawless look, for someone with combination skin, we get along quiet well Sheer Glow and I, despite other recommendations and reviews.
Also! For a product that is so hyped up - it is most definitely one that doesn't disappoint.

Under eye cirlces, black/green purpleness.. Need I say more?
If anyone knows of an animal friendly version of this PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

This combination (banana shade) works so well to cancel out discolouration. That's literally all I have to say and that unlike the MAC paint pots that everyone uses, this is animal friendly :) 

Never in my life would I think I'd have ever liked eyeshadow as much as I do now! Honestly the Too Faced eye shadows are an absolute dream to use (and smell), they're so pigmented even if you use them lightly for just a touch of colour, and they simplly just glide on your eyelids and blend so easily.

For someone who absolutely HATED this bronzer and was highly disappointed when she first started to use it, I must say, it's become a favourite as well and one I will be repurchasing time and time again. It gives the nicest glow and with the correct brush/s (this is where I went wrong.. Treat yourself to nice brushes people, it really does make a difference!) looks heavenly on your skin.

This little baby was nice $3 purchase a couple of months ago. I bought this to replace my Anastasia DipBrow (disappointing by the way) and for something so cheap it works a dream and makes my eyebrow game wonderfully strong :)

I do not use this mascara, I've had it since I was 13 (I'm now 17) and cleaned it once I had finished it. I just use it for the brush as it makes my eyelashes long and not clumped.

Glow glow glow! That is all.

Perfect combo and they both last so long on the lips and keep their pigment which is great!

She Loves Black is Back!!

Hey guys, really really long time no chat!

Where have I been?

YouTube, that's where! But now I've decided to come back to blogging as well as that means I can do more photographic things and also write posts on some video's I do for those who don't particularly like sitting through a 10 minute video.

I've also decided to come back to She Loves Black because I miss the name. I came up with this all buy myself and really enjoyed having it for some strange reason despite my now not so much love for all black everything.
